Advanced Manufacturing
Manufacturing is undergoing a dramatic transformation and advanced manufacturing techniques will ensure Australia will be more globally competitive and generate the demand for local jobs. Companies that invest in innovation, R & D, state-of-the-art technology and niche, highly customised solutions will set the scene for the industry and the industries for whom they are developing products.
Sleeptite, through its partnership with Sleepeezee Bedding Australia, is developing advanced-manufacturing techniques, processes and equipment designed to take world-first flexible sensors, designed by researchers at RMIT University, out of a lab and manufacture them at scale in a real world environment.
The next phase of our advanced manufacturing program will see us seek funding to set up an end-to-end advanced manufacturing facility here in Melbourne, Australia.
Products
We are re-engineering adjustable beds and modifying mattress compositions, creating new products to accommodate for all levels of care.
Sleeptite is using years of extensive aged care industry consultation to develop an exclusive range of beds, mattresses and furniture designed to provide greater functionality, specific to the needs of residents and workers, without compromising on key design elements, comfort or technology you would choose when furnishing your bedroom at home.
Chic beds that do not look clinical, but provide clinical level care not replicated by any other product on the market. Australian made mattresses designed specifically for the needs of residents who spend a lot of time in bed and that have conditions caused or heightened by allergens in their environment. Mattresses that contain, within their composition, natural antimicrobial solutions to lower the impact a bed surface can have on a residents overall health.
Sleeptite’s products offer a level of customisation that isn’t seen anywhere else in the market. Hundreds of fabric choices, PU and wood options and the ability to provide matching bedroom furniture or inbuilt bedhead designs are just the beginning of what we can do for a facility.
Non-Invasive Monitoring Technology
We exist to improve the health and wellbeing of older Australians through technologically advanced solutions and world leading research.
Together with research partners such as RMIT University, we are developing world first technologies, such as non-invasive monitoring systems, designed specifically for the aged care industry. Technologies with integrated sensor capabilities to provide Real-Time Biometric Analysis of data through a complementary interface, and thereby give Australia’s ageing population the best care that money can buy. Flexible and washable sensors that sit external to the human body but are accurate enough, reliable enough and advanced enough to be used as medical technology, technology that can read heart rate, blood pressure and breathing as accurately – if not more so – than the monitoring devices that exist today.
REMi is the first of these systems to launch and will be entering field trials in coming months**
